The Best Practices, LLC Team is led by Christopher Bogan, President and CEO of Best Practices, LLC. Their wide experience in benchmarking and multiple industries provides leadership for all the teams at Best Practices, LLC.

Christopher Bogan President and CEO   Christopher Bogan is a recognized expert and thought leader in the application of best practices for performance improvement. He has advised various Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Winners and other industry leading corporations. Mr. Bogan is a co-author of the highly acclaimed book, Benchmarking for Best Practices: Winning Through Innovative Adaptation, which has been hailed as "the new benchmark" for all those interested in benchmarking and best practice performance improvement. Mr. Bogan's first book, The Baldrige: What It Is, How it's Won, How To Use It to Improve Quality in Your Company, explores the quality systems of world-class companies. He is an honors graduate of the Harvard Business School and Amherst College. He sits on the boards of several corporations and is a Guest Lecturer at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Gary Shaw Vice President of Research and Advisory Services Gary Shaw leads work in benchmarking and process across a number of industries including pharmaceuticals, health care, and financial services. He oversees the Business Excellence Board and the Global Benchmarking Council. For the past 10 years, Mr. Shaw has served as a consultant in the pharmaceutical and health care industries, as well as in other sectors for The Concours Group and Campbell Alliance Group. For 16 years prior to that, Mr. Shaw was a professor of business administration at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Kenan Flagler Business School, the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia as well as a B.A. from SUNY at Buffalo.

Cameron Tew Sr. Manager, Publishing & Research Operations/Business Excellence Board Head Cameron Tew brings experience in research, analysis, writing, field interviews, management and project leadership to the Best Practices, LLC team. Mr. Tew also serves as the Media Liaison for Best Practices, LLC. Mr. Tew honed his research and management skills during 14 years as an award-winning journalist and editor. Mr. Tew has extensive experience in primary and secondary research and interviewing tactics. Mr. Tew has worked on a variety of pharmaceutical and biotech projects, with particular focus on the areas of thought leadership, market research and global product launch. He holds a B.A. degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mark Schoeman Senior Manager, Research Operations Mark Schoeman's research interests include customer loyalty and customer satisfaction research, organizational design and change management, and managing cross-functional teams. While at Best Practices, LLC, Mr. Schoeman has worked extensively on sales force effectiveness initiatives and product launch optimization. Prior to joining Best Practices, Mr. Schoeman worked in the manufacturing and consulting sectors focusing on marketing, new product development and management consulting. Mr. Schoeman holds an MBA (with distinction) from WITS Business School, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and completed his MBA elective requirements at Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina. He has also earned a B.A. degree (with Honors) from the University of the Witwatersrand where he focused on Law and International Relations. Anna Buhr Manager, Research Operations Anna Buhr has contributed to numerous projects, developing benchmarking surveys, conducting interviews, writing benchmarking reports and creating marketing material. Projects that Ms. Buhr has worked on include benchmarking studies on recruitment and staffing in large global organizations, quality and process improvement integration, business development strategies and diagnostic and pharmaceutical partnerships. Ms. Buhr has served clients in the financial services, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. Prior to joining Best Practices, LLC, Ms. Buhr completed her studies of International Business in Germany and the U.S., graduating with a Masters of Business Administration degree from Pfeiffer University and Hochschule Harz, Germany.
